Inspired by ancient sea nymphs - the female spirits of the sea waters, the bespoke Neiredes Navette Diamond Ring by New York jewelry designer Angie Marei features an elaborate yet, timeless design with a marquise contoured shape pointed at both ends resembling a ship. This beautiful piece showcases a matching pair of sparkling brilliant-cut round diamonds. It is accented with pavé-set brilliant white diamonds and exceptionally rare and magical color-changing Alexandrite gemstones along the band. Handcrafted in platinum.

Alexandrite is a rare variety of the chrysoberyl family. It is also characterized as a strongly pleochroic gem, meaning the gemstone appears in different colors when viewed from different directions due to the gem's unusual light-absorbing properties. Alexandrite's chameleon-like dramatic color-changing effects are typically greenish-blue, orange, to purple-red.
